La basilique Notre-Dame constitue une partie significative du patrimoine religieux catholique de Montréal. En plus, l'église Notre-Dame est la première église de style néo-gothique construite au Canada.

Notre-Dame Basilica is a significant part of the Catholic religious heritage of Montreal. In addition, Notre-Dame was the first Gothic Revival style church to be built in Canada.

La basílica de Notre-Dame es una parte importante del patrimonio religioso católico de Montreal. Además, Notre Dame fue la primera iglesia construida en estilo neo-gótico en Canadá.



 

Les trois statues sur le devant de la basilique représentent Montréal (la Vierge Marie), le Québec (Saint-Jean Baptiste) et le Canada (Saint-Joseph).

The three statues on the facade of the Basilica represent Montreal (the Virgin Mary), Quebec (Saint John the Baptist) and Canada (Saint Joseph).

 

Las tres estatuas en la parte frontal de la basílica representan a Montreal (la Virgen María), Quebec (San Juan Bautista) y Canadá (San José).

Whenever I can, I take a pic of this beautiful construction, I love this stunning example of the ecclesiastical architecture of the 19th century.
